Seen this in an debate today by a no voter and have seen it a few times whats the answers to this THE SNP GOVERNMENT HAS LIED ABOUT THE SCOTTISH BUDGET DEFICIT. The SNP TAX DECEPTION Please read carefully. A BASIC GUIDE TO TAX FOR YES VOTERS. FACT: There is Scottish budget deficit of £28.2bn which is equal to £5320.00 per person in Scotland. Step 1. The Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland (GERs) report shows the taxes COLLECTED from Scottish people and spent for the Scottish people by the UKCG and by various Devolved regional government and public service authorities. Step 2. Last year the GERs report shows that the total tax collected in Scotland was £48.1bn. The tax was collected by the following authorities. UKCG via HMCR collected £37bn SGDA the Scottish devolved Government collected £8.6bn PSDA taxes collected by Devolved Gov agencies eg. TV licence £2.5bn Total tax collected £48.1bn As you can see we only give £37bn of Scottish tax to the UKCG which is equal to £7100 per person compared to the UK figure of £9400. Step 3. The GERs report show that the UKCG Spends £65.2 bn of UK tax revenues to provide Scottish people with Central Government services. UKCG Scottish tax spend. £65.2bn We give in Scottish tax £37.0bn TAX DEFICIT £28.2bn Which is equal to £5320.00 per person for Scotland and is paid for by the tax revenues from rUK tax payers. Step 4. SNP TAX BILL. Scottish Central gov taxes. £65.2bn Local taxes £8.6bn PSDA taxes £2.5bn Total tax £76.3bn SNP tax bill per person £14 396.22 Please note I have used the GERs tax figure of £48.1bn (per capita), because , a) all GERs economic data is quoted in the pound which represents the collective efforts of 64.1 million UK people. b). If we allocate geographical oil revenue to Scotland then we must acknowledge that the oil revenue is lost to the UKCG and thus the Deficit is increased. C). There is also a ACCOUNTING ERROR in the GERs summary tax figures as they FAIL to differentiate between DEVOLVED tax revenue and tax revenue collected by the UKCG via the HMCR. Now. I Challenge Ivan Mckee or any other YES voter to prove me wrong.
