Self consciousness and self awareness is what happened to Adam and Eve when their eyes were opened as a result of the fall. My theory is that the fall instigated an illusion and deception that invaded the human main frame. The viral idea that although GOD is omnipotent, another will can coexist together with and among HIS omnipresent one in spite of this idea being irrational. The idea of time and space and omnipresence and omnipotence alone dictate that this is an impossibility because there is simply no room for another will or power to exist. We as human beings develop self awareness around the same time that we develop empathy as children. Matter of fact the way that we have become makes this the only way empathy can be derived to higher levels. How could we know to be unselfish without at least having the illusion that selfishness is an independently existing and viable alternative? Its a reference point to what IS REAL. The illusion of free will has to be delt with us as IF an actual phenomenon in order to resolve it among us because of our weakness. Its almost like dealing with a drunk friend who wants to get the keys to your car and is getting more aggressive. He says he wants to get the keys so he could drive to see his girl friend at 2 in the morning. As designated driver and his friend would it be a sin to convince him that the love of his girl friend just arrived and its in the basement? Knowing that love is an omnipresent phenomenon and he is suffering from the delusion and illusion that he in fact 1) can drive and 2) that its a viable option and idea? So the conclusion is that the concept of free will is brought up in the bible because of our weaknesses and delusions and GOD is actually omnipotent and really in full control. All of the blessings in life that we experience are undeserved gifts from GOD because of who HE is and every negative that has happened to us and others is as a result of sin and A LIE. Doing the right thing and believing the right thing leads to a blessed life eternal but wanting to be a God unto yourself is vain, delusional and as viable as wanting to be the easter bunny.
