Self-exaltation naturally follows self-deception. We deceive ourselves into thinking we are greater than we really are. I pity the Osteens that believe that When you worship (and obey) God, were not doing it for God, were doing it for ourselves, because thats what makes God happy! Wow!!! Well, I worship God, I worship God because He deserves to be worshipped and Praised! Romans 12:3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. and lastly: Romans 11:36 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
