Self-sufficiency is indeed another word for poverty None of them - TopicsExpress

Self-sufficiency is indeed another word for poverty None of them knew they were working for me Often I think about this notion of Good versus Evil. God versus the Devil. Matt Ridley, author of The Rational Optimist: How Prosperity Evolves, talks here about what lies beyond rational. And I think that much of the source behind this notion of evil can be found beyond ration: Our ignorance to the true complexity of what is happening around us. Furthermore, we have survival mechanisms that makes us very emotional on many topics, where both fear and desire are driving factors. But I do at least find some communalities: God is patient when the Devil is not. God understand complexities that the Devil does not. God has faith while the Devil has trust issues. God is slow while the Devil act fast. Another paradox is that God needs the Devil. To do the dirty work, to be strict, to maintain structure, to enforce laws, to get shit done, etc. As such God and the Devil makes a good team. Some would go as far as saying they are soulmates, since they do care about many of the same topics. At some level, they also compete. And understandably, God is cautious in his dealings with the Devil. As the methods applied by the Devil in times of despair has absolutely no integrity, and often crumble to primitive acts of revenge in a state of emotional implosion. The main source of the Devils power and her biggest flaw is the utter and absolute lack of self-criticism. Which is why God is so cautious in dealing with the Devil, since it is much like playing with fire. God knows there is no happy ending to it all, not in this eternity at least, but what else can she do? The Devil is too powerful to be ignored. Never underestimate the power of self-destruction. (Which is why God always has an upper hand, as they both play this game of self-destruction, since God has faith in creative divine intervention that our skeptic Devil cannot even come close to) youtube/watch?v=6fjXp3TuWlA
