Sen. Elizabeth Warren introduced a bill a few months ago to prohibit companies from asking about criminal records and it was filibustered and not allowed to go to vote. Unless the job is sensitive to certain felonies ( nurse and drug conviction, teachers aide and pedophile etc....) once a defendant has paid their debt to society, it serves no purpose to keep punishing them with an inability to get a job.
