I explained that, with the option of the filibuster removed, the Democrats would simply amend and pass the bill with funding for Obamacare included. Many of your constituency, including myself, urged you to not vote for cloture since it would take away the only leverage the senate Republicans had to fight with. I was treated like an idiot and was told that enough red states Democrats would "switch sides" and pass the bill as passed by the house. Instead, the vote for cloture, by you and your ilk, forced senate conservatives to become spectators while the Democrats did exactly what the American people knew they would do. You tied the hands of true conservative leaders such as Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and others who were leading the charge to defund this horrendous law. Furthermore, you have doubled down on your idiotic idea. If you have even one shred of integrity, you would admit you mistake to the people of Texas.
