Send some good thoughts to our friend Ashoka Mukpo, who I just learned is the 4th American to get Ebola in Liberia. Ive been following his work there these last months and it has been incredibly eye-opening, informative, inspiring, and terrifying. Sadly, I cant say Im surprised he caught it because hes been in the thick of this situation like a total badass for a good while now, putting himself in danger to help others. Check @unkyoka on twitter, his Al Jazeera and Vice News pieces, the links Ill post below, etc. Most importantly, we should be doing whatever we can to help the situation there, from supporting organizations that are working and providing aid there to petitioning our representatives to educating ourselves. This is crazy.
