Senior Congress leader Advocate A G Dar joins PDP Dr Manzoor also joins party fold Srinagar, Nov 01: Prominent advocate and political activist Abdul Gani Dar of Rohmoo, Pulwama and renowned physician and social activist Dr Manzoor Ahmad of Aiyangund, Rajpora assembly constituency Saturday joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). They were welcomed into the party fold by the party patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Eminent economist and senior party leader, Dr Haseeb Drabu was also present on the occasion. Pertinently, Dr Drabu is the parry candidate for Rajpora assembly segment. Advocate Dar has been associated with the Congress party for last 40 years and was presently its Pulwama district president. He is also ex-bar president of District Bar Association Pulwama. Expressing hope in the leadership of the PDP, the new entrants said they have decided to join the party due to its pro-people and revolutionary policies. They said the Jammu and Kashmir is presently passing through the difficult times and it is only credible leadership of the PDP which not only can ensure the lasting peace in the region but will take the state to new heights of development and prosperity.
