Senior Drilling Engineer Permanent Based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Malaysians preferred MNC oil and gas firm Salary range from 10-40K ++ Main Job Tasks, Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Acts as the companys technical representative and is accountable for the technical planning and monitoring of the drilling/ testing program. Operations Design drilling programs in accordance with industry recognised technical criteria and applicable drilling regulations to achieve exploration objectives in a safe and cost effective manner. Provide the Drilling Supervisor and Logistics team with equipment lists for the program. Ensure procedures are technically valid and applicable to specific well conditions. Monitor and evaluate well conditions in conjunction with the Drilling Supervisor and Operation Geologist. Develop and maintain contingency plans for potential problems that could occur during the program. Initiate other management systems or procedures as required during the program. Develop young engineer within the department Other duties as required HSE Act as a member of Emergency Response Group, supporting the Drilling Supervisor in the event of an emergency response situation. Observe all overall company health, safety and environmental instructions, act in a safe manner and avoid unnecessary risks to themselves and others. Immediately report any unsafe conditions or activities, dangerous occurrences or injuries in the work place. Qualification Bachelors Degree or Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical)or Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/ Gas) 7 years or more working experience in Oil & Gas drilling engineering.
