Senior Recruiter Human Resources & Organizational Development Job Summary In this full-time, 12-month role, you will be a leader in our 2020 vision for Fostering and Inclusive and Diverse Community. Your expertise, contributions, and strong relationship building skills will increase the diversity of our faculty, staff through deliberate and thoughtful recruitment strategies. In doing so, you will contribute to Champlain College as we strive to be the finest small, professionally and globally focused college in the United States. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources & Organizational Development, this position will be a highly sought after community partner and resource in the recruitment of all domestic and international faculty and staff positions, giving particular emphasis on diversity recruiting. Specific Job Responsibilities 1. Partner with leaders, hiring managers and search committees on job design, education, experience and competency prioritization, selection and hiring processes. 2. Develop strategic partnerships and relationships with external recruitment sources for proactive, short and mid-term recruitment of diverse talent for institution. 3. Provide guidance, training and coaching on bias awareness, closing unintended gaps and strengthening individual and institutional inclusiveness. Train on recruitment related procedures, policies and processes. 4. Identify and implement social media strategies to drive sourcing and increase quality applicant pool. Effectively mine and leverage pool of candidates. 5. Effectively manage candidates, ensuring a positive experience for all applicants. 6. Maintain and manage the processes related to applicant tracking system. Work with hiring managers to create requisition and approvals for new hires. 7. Partner with institutional and departmental teams to develop and expand diverse recruiting strategies. Identify, build, foster and leverage a network of organizations, including professional associates, conferences, referrals, doctoral programs, and other sourcing strategies which drive quality candidates. 8. Manage all advertisements and marketing efforts for open positions. 9. Develop pipelines of qualified individuals for future positions. 10. Develop, update, and lead efforts to address policy issues which inhibit the ability to attract and retain diverse talent. 11. Train hiring managers and search committees on procedures and diversity initiatives. 12. Maintain data reports and performance metrics for recruiting. 13. Conduct pre-screening interviews and reference checks where applicable. Partner with hiring managers on offer and negotiation processes. 14. Communicate with candidates, answer general questions about positions and facilitate candidate communication. 15. Work closely with the Human Resources & Organizational Development team for job classification. 16. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant recruiting experience with a strong emphasis on diversity sourcing, selection and hiring. Recruitment experience in higher education is highly desired. SPHR, CDR desired. Demonstrated experience leveraging social media to brand an organization, mine and identify talent and produce high caliber quality candidates. Must be client-focused, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment with all information, especially confidential information; excellent interpersonal skills, including oral, and written communication skills are required; demonstrated skills in teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving. Must have experience working with applicant tracking systems, understanding and skill in recruitment/hire processes, plus expertise in using Human Resources Information Systems, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word is required. The successful candidate will be able to help build intercultural understanding and demonstrate multicultural perspectives that can foster a diverse and inclusive community.
