Seniors that maintain or increase their levels of physical activity may reduce their risk of heart attack, according to a new study. Study participants who engaged in higher levels of physical activity had better heart rate variability; changes in heart rate variability can help predict the likelihood of heart attack or death. Experts suggest exercising longer or harder as you get older, if you can – and if you don’t exercise, it’s never too late to start!
