Sent: Friday, June 28, 2013 11:22 AM Subject: State Fair Park Police Department - Message from Fair Director Rick Frenette WSFP Board and Staff, This is to advise you that Chief of State Fair Police Tom Struebing has given his retirement notice effective July 31, 2013. Tom has done a great job during his tenure as Chief in growing the professionalism of our Police Department and achieving the mutual respect of all of our various Public Safety partners in the surrounding communities and the entire State. We wish him the best in his retirement and appreciate all of his contributions to the success of the Wisconsin State Fair and the Fair Park. There is a lot of details that need to be addressed during the month of July as we complete this transition in the Police Department and the fact that the 2013 State Fair begins in 32 days on August 1. The Chairman of the Board, John Yingling has authorized me to appoint an interim WSFP Chief of Police to make this transition as smooth as possible. Therefore, as CEO of Wisconsin State Fair Park, Captain James Bruno will be the Interim WSFP Police Chief, beginning on Monday July 1, reporting directly to me. Please refer all inquiries and matters that relate to the management of the Police Department to Captain Bruno. I appreciate everyone’s full cooperation during this transition.
