Sent this email to the Bank of Montreal tonight. I encourage each of you with a mortgage, line of credit or bank loan to contact your bank and ask them why they havent lowered your interest rate after the Bank of Canada cut rates last week. Peer pressure people, copy and paste if you want!!!!! Dear Sir/Madam, With the Bank of Canadas rate reduction last week I was curious as to when the BMO plans to cut their Prime Rate and pass that savings along to its loyal customers? Surely the BMO, with billions of dollars in profit from these very same clients arent thinking about keeping their Prime Rate as is, thus banking millions and millions of dollars more in interest? I mean, how greedy can one institution possibly be? I have numerous accounts with your institution and different LOCs for my home and vehicles. I expect a rate reduction on my LOCs by months end or Im going to pull my entire portfolio and take it to my local Credit Union. Enough is enough guys, start treating your customers with the respect they deserve. Please pass this email as far up the food chain as you deem necessary in order for me to get a satisfactory response from someone who can actually do something. I dont want a canned response from a temporary foreign worker based out of Bangalore.
