Sepp: Brazil WC outdid SA 2010 FIFA president Sepp Blatter says this years World Cup was better than the previous edition in South Africa. Meanwhile, Blatter said he was surprised to see Lionel Messi win the player of the tournament award. Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben placed second and third respectively. I was a little bit surprised when I saw Messi coming up to collect the best player of the competition, Blatter said. Blatter, though, said Messis four goals in the group stages were crucial to La Albicelestes march to the Final.
