September 1 is so significant for many reasons in my life. It was the day I was introduced into this world. My introduction was accompanied with joy, happiness & much celebration. Samson was born, Olu(my father) was confirmed a brave one, Akinlolu, my mothers disappointment in her previous marriage was replaced with lot of thanks, praises & happiness, Opeyemi. OMG, I have given out all my names, Samson Akinlolu Opeyemi Fatola. I am a promise child & what God has blessed, no man can curse. Ever since, my life has been full of testimonies. September, first among the ember months. September 1, first among the days in the ember months. September 1, first among equals. I became the first University graduate in Fatolas family. I became the first among the children of Fatolas with a Second class degree(Upper Division), a record no one has broken. The first among the children of Fatolas to travel to the Western world. The first politician among Fatolas children. The first with a resolve to be a symbol of struggle. September 1, the day Fortune Heights Elementary School was berthed. The first among equals. Primus Interpares. My inbox was filled with more than two hundred messages, my timeline was bombarded with series of prayerful messages, my two phones kept ringing until the batteries became flat. I was honoured by concerned loved ones, faithful friends & my committed followers. Thank God for the gift of life, thank God for His mercy for it endureth forever & thank God for the gift of a good wife & beautiful children. I pray that God will reward you all with a resounding success in whatever you lay your hands upon. God will meet you all at every point of your needs. For the pretenders, fakers & haters around me who are aware of my birthday but chose to unfollow the path of others, may the Lord forgive you. For those that forgot that Sept 1 was my day, no love lost. We still have many more years to spend together. It couldnt have been better. You are all mouthed. Te soju e on point.
