September 2014 Record Breaking Sale – My Oil Auctioned for £50,000 On the evening the 24th September 2014 the oil painting of England Rugby hero Jonny Wilkinson sold at an auction dinner for an astonishing £50,000. It is almost double the price of the previous record set last year when my drawing of Lady Thatcher sold at the Conservative party summer ball auction for £30,000. Prices are souring and who knows where it will end. With banks offering 3% but inflation is 4%, you are actually loosing 1% per year. Maybe its the right time to invest in a Darren Baker and make some real money over the next few years!
