September 8, 2014 - The Order of the Most Holy Mary Theotokos - The Old Catholic Marianists celebrate the 5th anniversary of our founding. Focused upon the Biblical Observance of New Testament Ethics and Principles! We are a remnant religious community united by our relationship with Jesus Christ through the Blessed Virgin Mary, transforming lives by the Holy Spirit, restoring people to wholeness, and equiping them for ministry in the world. So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. Romans 11:15 The book of Revelation speaks of the end times and the true people of God, a Remnant Church which Satan will make war against. Satan will come against the remnant Church with everything and anyone he can use. Revelation 12:17 “And the dragon [Satan] was wroth with the woman [Church], and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” It grieves us to say that Satan has used even Christians to do this and has been so successful over the centuries that we find that what is popular is not always truth and what is truth is not always popular. Revelation also speaks of the reward awaiting the remnant Church. Revelation 2:7 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” Having traveled from our heritage in various Christian traditions, we now forge a new path in our journey with the founding of the Order of the Most Holy Mary Theotokos. A religious community for those Christians serious about their spiritual journeys. O.SS.T. is unapologetically a Marian Order, established to answer the call to grow and prosper in promoting meaningful dedication to the Blessed Mother of God, while at the same time remaining true to both Scripture and Tradition. Our purpose is to develop an inner discipline that is both worldly and contemplative and helps us to become Christ-conscious - to live more deeply in Him, that He might live through us. Hence, on the eighth day of September in the year of our Lord two thousand nine, the Order of the Most Holy Mary Theotokos (O.SS.T.) was founded. O.SS.T. has already established itself as an Order of integrity with a heart to serve those who serve others. Also known as The Old Catholic Marianists, we are a self-governing religious community and independent autocephalous Catholic jurisdiction in the tradition of the Old Catholic Church.
