September is national sickle cell awareness month and I will be - TopicsExpress

September is national sickle cell awareness month and I will be spending extra time posting important facts about sickle cell disease along with some of my personal struggles and testimonies that I have experienced as a result of living with sickle cell disease all of my life! Yes sickle cell is a genetically inherited disease that you can ONLY get from your parents. It is NOT CONTAGIOUS as some may suspect. It is my goal to support, addvocate, eduacate, and love those who have been directly or indirectly affected by sickle cell disease as well as those who live in some of the same communities with people who are affected directly or indirectly by sickle cell in an effort to help family, friends, as well as their communities to get a better understanding as to what it is people with sickle cell go through physically as well as spiritually socially, emotionally, mentally, economically, and financially. All of these entities play a huge role in overall healthcare as they can with many other diseases. I am looking forward to advocating, supporting, and educating all of those who have an interest or a desire to learn more. I am willing to talk with those who have questions as well as input as long as it is positive and not meant to purposely offend a person, persons, or group of people. If there is something I sont know right off hand, I will be more than happy to research that inforation for you, or send you to a soure that does know. Excited about sharing my kmowledge, lend a helping hand, and learn how siclle cell has affected others as well. Ready for some big-time Positive changes! #GamefaceOn Support Educate Addvocate Love
