....Sequence of Event We had peaceful protest from last week Thursday, 14th of August, 2014..... As the peaceful protest continued On Friday, 15th of August, 2014. Around afternoon, Mr. Governor came out and address Students, saying he is not aware of certain things....He requested for a Week to answer us......We gave him a sense of doubt... Considering that he made that One Week request in public.... We left with the buses provided by Mr. Governor; 4 Marcolo buses and 5 18-passengers buses after the Students request publicly....with the buses we brought as we were more than a thousand.... We suspended the peaceful protest ..... Waiting for a meeting.....No meeting called until Thursday.... On Thursday, 21nd of August, 2014, a meeting was called, the SSG, Commissioner for Education, SA, and other Government representatives and Students Leaders of other institution. We tabled our position like everybody.....The SSG, told us to wait while he meet Mr. Governor. As time goes on, at 7:20pm, the Commissioner for Education addressed us and asked us to be patient by giving him another one hour.....He left Oke-Mosan. Union leaders disappeared after we converge around NUT in an eatery to eat....We called the SA, his phone was off, Commissioner of education, not picking call or replying text messages....by 9:25pm, we left the NUT arena, enter Cab to Shagamu and from there, a cab to ijebu-Ode and from there to Ago. On Friday,22rd of August, 2014, they called for another meeting, by 9:15am, we were in Oke-mosan....As time goes on, the SA, Clement, said he is yet to see Mr. Governor. We continue to wait, other Union left around 4pm, and the SA, Mr. Clement phone was not going. Around 6:45pm, we saw the Commissioner for Education, he said, we should wait as he will get back to us....By 7:25, we called the Commissioner for Education and he said he will advise us to return home....We returned to Ago that Friday night thinking probably, the Government in their usual manner will announced on media answering our demand especially, the implementation of the reduction by this 2013/2014 session we are just commencing..... On Saturday,23th of August, 2014, on my way to Abeokuta, to honour the invitation by security operatives, I was informed of Government order for the school to be shut down...... ... .....All is well!
