Serendipity: Im not feeling well, and decided to make some tea and read for a bit. I considered reading the texts for next weeks classes, or something otherwise related to my job, or a book on evolution and intelligent design that I started a while back, but settled on Boswells *Life of Johnson*, for no reason other than that it appealed at the moment. How very nice, then, to find Boswell asking the following rhetorical question, not twenty pages into the book: The flesh of animals who feed excursively, is allowed to have a higher flavour than that of those who are cooped up. May there not be the same difference between men who read as their taste prompts and men who are confined in cells and colleges to stated tasks? Indeed! Im not wasting time -- Im making my mind more delicious.
