Series 8 Updates, Conformations and Rumors. Episodes 1-6 are now completed. Episode 7 is still currently filming. Writers for this series include Steven Moffat, Phil Ford, Mark Gatiss, Steve Thompson, Gareth Roberts, Peter Harness and Jamie Mathieson. Directors include Ben Wheatley, Paul Murphy, Douglas Mackinnon, Paul Wilmhurst and Rachel Talalay. Cast include Peter Capadli as The Doctor, Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald, Samuel Anderson as Danny Pink and new girl Ellis George who is in the fore running to be a new companion making it a trio of companions this series. Though unconfirmed Alex Kingston hinted River could return this series but we still do not know if she will. We have Neve, Dan and Catrin back as Vastra, Strax and Jenny aka The Paternoster Gang. Tom Baker, Paul McGann, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, John Barrowman, Freema Agyeman and Bernard Cribbins want to return for this Series, if not a future one. Moffat confirmed the theme for this series is The Doctor is hunting for Gallifrey but not in every episode. Other cast includes, Keeley Hawes, Hermione Norris, Tom Riley, Ben Miller and Frank Skinner to name a few plus the rumor still going that Matt is phone calling Capaldi in his first story has died down a bit. Rumors of Two Masters and a Returning Doctor is still floating around. This could be the last ever series to feature the Weeping Angels as Moffat said he is done with them but has a writer in mind who has one last tale to tell of the stone statues. Moffat has also confirmed Capaldis Doctor will acknowledge his predecessors including William Hartnells incarnation. Also according to the latest rumor, Rachel Talaly who has recently joined twitter (or it could be a fake) may have hinted about recent rumors that the finale for Series 8 is a two parter but we wont know until Confirmed or the Series has debuted ~Doctor12.
