As with all great things, my faith was tested. Heavily. And lost. I wasnt able to hold on & the once unmoveable mountain became sand slipping thru my fingers. Truth be told, there were times I rinsed my hands wanting NO TRACE of faith. But, like sand, I would find tiny granules in the most random places, until suddenly at my feet was a new path. I am messy, imperfect & always under construction. Same with my faith, my life & my journey. I am not most proud of the things Ive done right, but the things Ive done wrong; & all the ways Ive tried & tried again to get them right. Some may never miss a Sunday, may lead the choir or host a bible study, but that is not what makes up a Christian heart, in my opinion. It lies in the sideways glances when passing a stranger (that you dont throw), the bitter words whispered in corners about others (that you see are your own) the true feelings held in ones insecure heart. And the ability to do things differently. Thats where being a Christian lies. But hey, what do I know?
