Luke 6:1 1 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels. Luke 6:2 2 Some of the Pharisees asked, Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath? Luke 6:5 5 Then Jesus said to them, The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. Luke 6:6 6 On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. Luke 6:7 7 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. Luke 6:9 9 Then Jesus said to them, I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it? Luke 13:10 10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, Luke 13:14 14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath. Luke 13:15 15 The Lord answered him, You hypocrites! Doesnt each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Luke 13:16 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her? Luke 14:1 1 One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched. Luke 14:3 3 Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not? Luke 14:5 5 Then he asked them, If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out? Luke 23:54 55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. Luke 23:56 John 5:9 10 and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat. John 5:10 11 But he replied, The man who made me well said to me, Pick up your mat and walk. John 5:16 17 Jesus said to them, My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working. John 5:18 19 Jesus gave them this answer: I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. John 7:22 22 Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a child on the Sabbath.
