Session 127 Graduates from PGPD Academy Here are highlights from Tuesday’s graduation ceremony for Session 127. Thirty-six student officers took the oath, 31 of those are joining us here at the PGPD. Several of the newly-sworn officers were honored at the ceremony for their achievements during the academy. Vehicle Skills Award - Officer Bradley Golway Physical Fitness Award given in honor of Sgt. Robert Talbert - Officer Gloria Neeld and Officer Ahmed Ali Top Marksman - Officer Curtis Hamm Steven F. Gaughan Memorial Award for achievement in criminal law - Officer Troy Sumner Joseph K. Brown Award for academic achievements - Officer Jereme Brown Chief’s Leadership Award - Officer Darren Valletta Rodney G. Chaney Memorial Award for outstanding Student Officer - Officer Nathaniel Bauer We’d also like to note that Officer Jermaine Woodard, who worked for the PGPD as a clerk for 11 years, graduated with his classmates last night and will now experience a new and different side of the department. The new officers have each been assigned to one of our six district stations and will start their duty assignments this week. Congratulations again!
