The Ebola Stress in the Health Ministry Is Dr. Abu Bakarr - TopicsExpress

The Ebola Stress in the Health Ministry Is Dr. Abu Bakarr Fofanah’s Major Concern By Daniel Sogbandi It is obvious that work is a potent source of stress. But recognizing and relieving the symptoms of stress is imperative in a conductive working environment. The fundamental truth is that the leadership of the Health Ministry, Dr. Abu Bakarr Fofanah, is not a tribalist but works amicably with both his administrative and professional staff to create the necessary impact. His focus is to provide a conducive working environment for all cadres poised to direct his vision towards achieving his desired goal. No amount of intimidation, gossip and blackmail will divert his professional stance to making the Ministry of Health a more viable institution. Dr. Fofanah is an action-oriented man: simple, subtle, and a good listener to the views of others. He is eager to make progress and wants to see results. Most of the doctor’s friends at the College of Medicines are South-Easterners. It is rather unfair to class him as a tribalist. He wants results and always assists the weak by giving them strength to achieve the desired goal. The Health Ministry is now in desperation for a change with the challenges at the door steps of the Minister to win the deadly Ebola war that has ravaged the country’s economy and health infrastructure. There are challenges to our role in society and to our relationship with those around us. We are bombarded with rapid and never ending change as a nation, with trivial frustrations and forced social interventions. Circumstances force many of us, even when we feel our families really need us at home, to give love and support. Yet we sacrifice for the love of our country. This is the sacrifice made by Dr. Fofanah with pleasant emotions and feelings of patriotism. Before now very many officials in the Health Ministry were working under stress, shuttling around like headless chickens with their heart beating fast to burst. With the administration of Dr. Fofanah, pressure, tension and frustration have all rolled into anxiety to building a sound system for growth and development.
