Settling Up is a NYC story. We #NeverForget. Let us remember when we hear vitriol (our own or others) that this attack was born of hate. May we then remember to remove hatred from our thoughts, words, and deeds. Let us remember when we see religion used to divide, that extremists used religion to justify this carnage. May we then remember that tolerance and acceptance make us stronger, and may we be wary of those who would have us believe otherwise. Let us remember when we feel disdain for the other that in our darkest hour those differences -which we so casually allow to keep us apart - disappeared. May we remember to look for what connects us, and may we always look for the humanity in others and to treat that humanity with compassion. Let us remember there is more that binds us together than that tears us apart. May seeing our commonalities bring us together and bring peace to our world.
