Seventh Worst Movie of 2014: Lucy Minus the first fifteen minutes and the campy fun of the over-the-top Korean mob boss antagonist, this movie is an absolute waste of time. Scarlett Johannsson gets increasingly wooden and dull as the movie progresses, the science is exceptionally stupid, and the action sequences are tedious at best. It reminds me of Akira and how much I prefer that movie over this one, because regardless of how stupid or rushed Akira can be, it is always visually interesting and creative. With Lucy however, there is nothing here that you havent seen before and whats not out-right derivative or obvious is just plain boring. Suffice to say, if you wanna ee a good Luc Besson film, go back 20 years or so, because this shit aint it.
