Several friends on here will know already, but thought I should share the news is that I am very excited to be starting a new job in the New Year, helping to create an amazing new museum at the lovely Norton Priory Museum & Garden. It is such a fantastic site and Im thrilled to be working with an amazing collection of artefacts. When you think it combines medieval heritage with archaeology and my job will be to tell the stories of 900 years of history youll realise why Im so excited. Of course, I will miss Weaver Hall Museum where Ive been this past twelve years, (has it been that long?), and will also miss the friends there and the workshops weve done. But Im only just down the road and paths will cross often. To everyone who has supported me at the museum in Northwich, a huge heartfelt thank you and please do keep supporting them there. Im still in Cheshire, land of legends, and will get even more chance to tell them. And for those who love the Minstrels Court, there is a great connection as the Dutton family who ran the original MC from 13th-18th century were benefactors of Norton Priory and many of the family were buried there, Ill be telling their tales. I look forward to seeing you all soon and to having some great fun at the Priory.
