The story of Christ’s birth is told through scenes and scriptures placed in yards along Bethlehem Road. Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 2540 Bethlehem Rd., Lonoke, is the last of the displays. Bethlehem Road is in central Lonoke County; near the junction of Arkansas Highway 321 spur with Arkansas Highway 31. It is about 12 miles north of Lonoke; 10 miles south of Beebe; or eight miles east of Cabot following Arkansas Highway 321 east to Highway 321 spur. Since it began in 1987, the exhibit has been a popular destination for visitors from all over central Arkansas. The memories are often shared about families driving down Bethlehem Road and enjoying the Christmas story together. The true meaning of Christmas comes to life, coordinator Carolyn Staley said in a press release. The lighted displays are wonderful to see at night, but the scenes are also enjoyed on daytime drives. We invite you and friends, large groups, church buses, senior groups and all to enjoy the Road to Bethlehem this season!
