Several of the 44 properties that we own around the state are looked after by groups of volunteers, called Committees of Management. They do a tremendous amount of work, such as removing weeds; repairing and maintaining fences; planting native species and raising awareness of the importance of conservation on all land tenures. At Pallisters Reserve in the south-west, the Committee of Management have installed a clever bird hide and also provided a few extra homes around the property for native wildlife in the form of nest boxes. Here are an assortment of photos of their work. And we would like to thank them very much for all that they do for conservation.
