Several people have commented on my “Half Of My Heart” piano ballad, saying how they felt it would be a good wedding song. That idea hits me nicely when I consider the feelings that went into the lyrics and production of the song. It really is meant to be a one on one song; directly from the singer filled with a warm love and acceptance and going out to a single and specific person. It is not so much a story song, or a ‘preach to the world’ song, so much as it was meant to capture that ‘from me to you’ type of feeling. As far as the music behind it, I am extremely pleased with how the string arrangement so wonderfully compliments the style. While usually I enjoy creating my own strings for a song like this, I must give a giant thank you to Chip Salerno for his excellent work on strings in this ballad.
