Several potential Republican contenders for president will court - TopicsExpress

Several potential Republican contenders for president will court gun-rights supporters at the NRAs annual convention in Indianapolis. Set to speak today: Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who opposed tighter gun restrictions after the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who approved several gun rights bills last year, including one creating penalties for those who knowingly publish the names of gun permit holders. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who approved a measure this year that allows guns in locked vehicles on school property. Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum will also speak. He thanked the NRA for fighting back after Sandy Hook when, he contends, freedom was under assault. wsbt/news/local/Possible-GOP-presidential-candidates-to-court-NRA/25652794
