41 teams and the backdrop of a spectacular Kakadu billabong set the scene once again for this years SWB Barra Challenge. 2 days of competition and 148 women escaping families and jobs fished hard for what is claimed as Australias premier sporting fish, the barramundi. Plenty of celebration and colour adorned the venue last Thursday for the briefing and reception of the teams. Over the two days only 22 barra from the 55 fish captured with only 4 barra over 60cms. Top scoring team by a narrow margin went to team Scoop It with regulars of this event Barra Babes taking out second spot. Skirts Ditchin Work came in third. Champion angler and winner of the Reidys Biggest Barra award went to Jemma Brieffies from team Scoop It.
