Several questions have been brought up that can be clarified. 1. Q. Why spend money on a swimming pool? A. The is not going to be a swimming pool. That idea was not acted on. 2. Q. How much parking will there be? A. When completed there will be 685 parking spaces. Right now there are about 300, no included the 80 or so that are illegally parked on Fletcher St. 3. Q. Why spend on the artificial turf field? A. Overall, the turf will allow the teams to utilize the fields earlier in the year after the snow melt, play later into the year with less wear than on grass, which saves on maintenance costs. Turf fields allow for more hours of usage than grass fields that need time to recover between uses or they become patchy and dead in areas, degrading the entire field.
