Several weeks ago, I wrote an article here called “Barack Hussein Obama: The Manchurian President.” My point was that it did not matter if our Dear Leader was a foreign born, anti-American president; the results of his actions and policies have been the same. The consequences of Barack Obama’s policies and decisions with regard to domestic, as well as foreign, issues have been devastating to this country. A vivid, recent example is the release of five high-value Taliban commanders from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay. Mark my words–Barack Obama will have blood on his hands in the future because of this release. These individuals are hardened anti-American terrorists and will kill again. I was in Nampa, Idaho on Saturday conducting a book signing, when the news broke about Bergdahl’s release. The local Fox 9 TV affiliate sent out a reporter and cameraman for an onsite interview for my comments. At the time, I stated that I did not know the facts of the case; but I was concerned about the release of the prisoners. It seemed to me that the Obama administration is desperate for some good press in the face of the VA scandal, and what better way than to announce the release of an American POW? This will make us good with the vets again, I could hear them saying. I have no doubt that Obama and his minions were more than happy to use the event for political purposes, the future consequences to America be damned. When I arrived back home and started doing some research into Bergdahl’s situation and history, I was shocked with what I found. Then, as I sat at the computer surfing for any information I could find on this U.S. Army sergeant, Obama comes on for a live TV announcement with Bergdahl’s parents. To my astonishment, Bergdahl’s father, sporting a long Afghan–style beard, starts speaking in Pashtun in front of Obama and the international audience. There is definitely more to this story than meets the eye, I said to myself. Later in the day, a story is circulated in social media by Allen West and others, showing a tweet that was deleted from Bergdahl’s father’s Twitter account, basically stating he is trying to free all prisoners from Guantanamo Bay. Could this guy have gotten himself captured on purpose? I thought. Was the purpose to free enemies of the United States from GITMO? This is an astonishing conclusion, but a conclusion that is easily arrived at if you look at the readily information with an objective eye. Today, we see more of Bergdahl’s comments and actions released in the media. It seems he has a history of bad-mouthing his country. It also seems he became very friendly with his captors, learned the language, and now has a hard time speaking English. Do you remember any Vietnam veterans acting in the manner? No, because it is against the American Fighting Man’s Code of Conduct. For the non-military reader, please see the selected articles from this code below. This guy violated almost every one: 2. I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist. 3. If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy. 4. If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information, or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way. 5. When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause. I am not advocating punishment for Bergdahl. I don’t know enough about the facts of the case, and judgement lies with his chain of command and the UCMJ. I am advocating an investigation into the actions of our president and commander-in-chief in regard to releasing these terrorists. The American people need to know the facts in this case because the information released so far doesn’t pass the sniff test.
