Several years ago I was going through a very deep darkness in my life. Sometime before Christmas Kay asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I remember telling her that I just wanted everything to be right again. At that time I couldnt see any light at the end of the tunnel and was beginning to lose hope of ever seeing that rightness again. Christmas always held a certain magic for me but I spent several Christmass where that magic was absent and oh how I missed it. As I reflect on this Thanksgiving and the Christmas season that is upon us, I realize just how incredibly blessed I am. I have a wonderful wife and four kids (I claim my daughter in law and son in law as my own kids), two incredible grandkids ( NO I AM NOT PREJUDICED), a unbelievably awesome and supportive Church family, and a job that I enjoy and believe in. Lastly and most importantly I have a Father who loves me in spite of myself. I in no way have earned or deserve any of this yet God has, out of His mercy and great love, blessed me immeasurably. It occurred to me in the last few days that my Christmas wish has come true, things are right again. And last evening I told Kay, the magic of Christmas is back. THANK YOU to my God,my family, and the true friends who have showered such love on Kay and I. Joy to the world, The Lord has come. Let earth receive her King. Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing.
