Shabbat Shalom! “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six - TopicsExpress

Shabbat Shalom! “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your G-d. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. “ Shabbat is not only a time to renew our bond with HaShem, and our families, but to reflect on the events of the week past, and to think about the week to come. It is also a time to pray. Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem, pray for peace for Israel, and be joyful in our hearts for the Love HaShem gives us, and be thankful for His Laws, His Love, and His Grace. Remember those who suffer in silence and need to know G-d’s Love, and comfort. Pray for those who are ill, and those who suffer loss. Often their pain is not visible to all, but is real. Pray for their peace and comfort, and the understanding Gd has purpose and while we may not understand now, even pain can be a blessing. Pray for their reassurance they have not been abandoned, and HaShem will comfort them if just they ask. Let us give thanks and remembrance for the Blessings given us this week, including the challenges, which help us to grow in our faith and understanding. May we put aside bitterness and anger, and let us renew our loving bonds with our families and loved ones who too often are Blessings we overlook. Rest and renew our spirits and make them fresh.
