Shae’s Song From the quill of Faelyn Rose A child of the forest Shae wanders alone The trees and the meadows are all she has known Humming a tune that the morning birds sing Collecting sweet berries that grow in the spring The ferns nod in welcome as she passes their way Sparkling with dew drops on this sunny day Each creature knows her from rabbit to deer All follow Shae whenever she’s near The villagers fear those they can’t understand They imagine that witchcraft has cursed their fair land So frightened are some of the girl they call Shae That strangers are summoned to take her away Tis Shae of the forest whose tale I sing And the brave young captain of a ship named Red Wing Tales of Faelyn Rose faelynrose
