Shame is an emotion, but if ever it was personified shame would look like a person with dropped shoulders, head down and with a slouched disposition.Definitely, not a pretty sight.lt may not be a desired state, but shame has a way of nudging us positively when we veer of course. So you can understand my anticipation when FIFA issued a press release that Nigeria National Football Team is banned again for the same reason that it was done before. The world cup is now a cup of corruption. The officials always like to mess up because they know Government cannot do anything to them.Waitt a minute,l know there is a difference between interference and intervention..What Nigerian Government is doing cannot be defined as interference (which is negative) but rather it is intervention.(which is positive).People feel comfortable to say the money is from FIFA.But who takes care of FIFA? Even at the qualifying stages who take care of the National Team? Definitely not FIFA but Government.FlFA should respect the law of the land..How can FIFA investigate the Federations under its umbrella of corruption? lt is like asking a thief to check his own pocket and tell us if he has stolen any money...,FIFA and the government should meet half-way.The Federal Government of Nigeria is doing the right thing. They have the right to protect the tax payers money..Intervention is not bad but interference is dangerous for the game.
