WITHDRAWAL OF COMPULSORY PROOFING CIVILIAN FIRE ARMS STAATSKOERANT, 26 JULIE 2013 No. 36684 9 This gazette is also available free online at gpwonline.co.za No. R. 518 26 July 2013 Government Printer’s Copyright Authority No. 10505 dated 02 February 1998 NATIONAL REGULATOR FOR COMPULSORY SPECIFICATIONS ACT (Act 5 of 2008) THE WITHDRAWAL OF THE COMPULSORY SPECIFICATION FOR FIREARM PROOFING FOR CIVILIAN USE - VC 8028 It is hereby made known under section 13(1) (a) of the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act, (Act 5 of 2008), that I, Dr Rob Davies, the Minister of Trade and Industry, on the recommendation of the NRCS Board, intends to withdraw the Compulsory Specification for Firearm proofing for civilian use - VC 8028, as published in the Government Notice 1624 in Government Gazette 5278 of 3 September 1976. Any person who wishes to comment on the intention of the Minister to withdraw the Compulsory Specification concerned, may submit their comments in writing, to the Chief Executive Officer, National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications, Private Bag X25, Brooklyn, 0075, on or before the date two (2) months after the publication of this notice.
