Share so you can have recipe saved for later Friend me on faebook Its been a long day but I am finally home and sipping a glass of sweet iced tea (with lemon of course). My doctor appointment did not go as well as I had hoped, they found something (not from my original cancer) that shouldnt be where it is, so now I am waiting on biopsy results. Its all in the good Lords hands and not for me to waste precious time worrying about but I do want you all to know how much I have appreciated your prayers and well wishes. Now, back to the sweet tea...there is nothing more refreshing and is a staple on every supper table in the South. I know it may be hard to believe, but some folks do not know how to make sweet tea...so with my being as tired as I am this evening, I am sharing my glass with yall. Southern Sweet Tea 6 tea bags 2 C. sugar pinch of baking soda (reduces bitterness) water In a 4 quart pot, fill with water (almost to the rim) and bring to a boil. Drop in the tea bags and remove from the heat. Allow to steep for 15 minutes. Add the sugar and baking soda to a one gallon pitcher . Remove the tea bags, gently squeezing out any excess tea (discard the tea bags) and pour the tea into the pitcher. Add more water to fill to the top. Stir well and chill before serving...my husband swears it is always better the next day after making.
