Sharing an article with you all, especially those interested in my music My last single Gone for Good went to #1 on several charts including the this major one, New Music Weekly Chart, and Main Country Chart here in the US . In January I was honored with the Artist of the Year 2013 Award from Great Country Radio, Nashville. I also was given the 2013 Fred Leonard Memorial Award which is to honor people in the music industry for helping to keep country music alive and in the public eye. My duet with Allen Karl Aint That a LovinShame was voted Country Duet of the Year 2013 also by Great Country Radio, Nashville. That same song is the only song to ever make it to the #1 position twice at IndieWorld. It hit #1 went down to the 20s and jumped back up to # 1. My newest release is Beer Bottle Brown and will be available later this month. In February, I performed a Showcase at the Crossroads on Broadway for Country Music Week which hosts DJs from around the world for the week long celebration. In May I will be singing at the Spring Fling in Nashville and again at the Fan Fair Festival in June. And the NTCMAI Festival over Labor Day Week in Iowa. Last week I spent time at SMS Studio recording Miss Jean Shepard...the Matriarch of the Grand Old Opry and Country Music. Miss Shepard was married to Hawkshaw Hawkins who lost his life in the plane crash with the legendary Patsy Cline. Jean still performs at the Opry regularly. We also have recorded Jim Ed Brown and Bobby G. Rice and have signed Helen Cornelius. Several others are in the process of being signed, and I am so looking forward to our roster of talent being worldwide . I am also a regular on the new syndicated TV show, The Country Junction, which is the brainchild of TV producer and legend, Howard Gosser. Gosser was influential in the careers of so many country legends, TV shows, as well as his good friend, Mohammed Alis career. Country Junction is being shown in areas covering Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee, and will be covering other areas of the country I have another project under wraps that I am so excited about but cannot make it public until papers are signed...Ill let you know as soon as I know. This Century II contract has taken me all over the world to perform..and where I havent been personally, they are playing my music. It has been such a blessing that I cannot put into words how it has changed my life with so many positive events happening in my life because of my music . I not only record for Century II, Nashville but I have been promoted to the position of Executive Director of Artist Development. which means I am always looking for quality performers to record and possibly sign to the label. I am hoping that in some small way this business association will benefit Scioto County in a positive way. I have just recently returned from Nashville where I met with several prospects and I am in the process of trying to put together a showcase at the Southern Ohio Opry this summer, to offer performers a chance to sing for CEO Allen Karl, and others from Century II for the opportunity to record either a single, a touring CD, a video or a chance to be signed to a contract with Century IIs Newcomer Division. Century II includes Marty Martel, (BKD, Midnight Special Productions); Gene Kennedy, DoorKnob Records; Mike Schrimpf, SMS Studios, Allen Karl, Century II CEO. We at Century II just completed our first video. It was the first ever video for Bobby G. Rices song Is That the Way You Say Goodbye and is the work of local videographer Dirk Cunningham, RCW Entertainment. The song was written and performed by Rice who had great success for his #1 song You Lay So Easy on My Mind. The video can be purchased by contacting me at Century II. Locally, the number is 740-821-0298. I perform at least once a month at the Southern Ohio Opry here in Lucasville, usually the last week of the month. However, this Saturday, April 5 I will be singing at the new Hope Cafe on Rt. 522 in Wheelersburg, along with several other locals like Dewey Howard and Kim Smith. The show starts at 7. Please make it a point to join us and enjoy an evening of great country music, food and dance... Miss Cunningham is a member of The Country Music Association (CMA),the Southern Ohio Opry, the Traditional Country Opry, R.O.P.E. (Reunion of Professional Entertainers), and the National Traditional Country Music Association International.
