Sharing from Colt White Tattooer. I used to be a lot more outspoken on the topic but Ive learned it doesnt matter how hard I work or what I say. Many people dont give a shit. So heres this, if for some reason you still dont know, home tattooing is illegal in WA. I give zero craps about your story of your friend whos a good artist but has some adversity so they cant be licensed and in a shop so they give deals out of their house. No sympathy, these days theyre breaking laws. I dont want to hear about it and if youre the scratcher I dont want emails asking me questions. Youll never get better by sitting alone in your house, quit making excuses and surround yourself with better artists. I have sympathy for clients actively trying to get good work but get screwed by these tattooers. Portfolios can even be shady when you have jerks stealing ones from good artists. This just happened to Kyle Wood Tattoos. Keep an eye out for his book, Im sure its floating around somewhere…. Its a tough time in tattooing, theres more amazing artists than ever before but theres also more POSs trying to make a buck off its popularity. Be safe out there!
