Sharing from ESRA-Southeast: We have a boy near Asheville, North Carolina, who has spent 2 nights so far in the pound because we need foster care ASAP! Toby is 8 years old and dumped there by his owners, so we do have background on him. If you can help, please email me! It does not matter where YOU are in the Carolinas - Im sure we can get Springer volunteers to transport him to your door. Thanks! -- Kathy Patterson, Coordinator for NC/SC - springerhelp@gmail More Information: Toby got dumped by his owners because he has started chewing on things, pulling down blinds, and having accidents etc when they leave him. (i.e. new separation anxiety). He is fine when they are home. He sleeps inside. So they leave him outside when they leave- where he was chasing cars and charging at people walking across the front of the property. His health status is not up to date - some of his behavior changes may very well be a thyroid issue or something else. The owners SAY he is good with other dogs. Unknown around cats. Good with kids, not sure how young, but I would not put him around little children as she did mention some resource guarding. Hope this helps in case anyone is interested in helping him!
