Sharing the most horrific story I could have imagined ever happening to me EVER in my life... I have over the last 24 hours suffered the most pain and discomfort I will have ever known! We have learned what a dangerous place we live in and will never turn our back for just one second ever again! My sweet sweet innocent baby Bella spent 14 hours 25 feet over a deep (several hundred foot drop) on the side of the ridge we walk near daily. We turned our back for just a moment and the most horrible thing I could have ever imagined in my life - she slipped! The kind of guilt you have to endure with all the what ifs and the trauma of having to leave her in the dark for countless hours because rescue work could not commence in the dark will haunt me for the rest of my life! I was told by the rescuing helicopter that there was not one place other than where she was that would have saved her life like the ledge they found her on! My body is still shaking and its going to take me some time to get in a good place after this experience. 2 days ago I heard a voice telling me I am being watched over and then Sushi suffered with her health. She rallied and then 2 days before the 1 year anniversary of Shiitakes death Bella goes off a cliff! My heart is shattered regardless of the courageous helicopter air lift rescue and my stomach is still somewhere in my throat. She was very traumatized and not the same dog when she came home. Im not the same momma either! I know that angels watched over us and there is a god greater than me and I will NEVER AGAIN question my faith but I may also never again leave the house! Or never with the dogs anyway! Its going to be some time before we go anywhere and certainly NEVER without a serious harness and leash! Just last month Patrick and his sons experienced a man that had drown to death and pulled him from the water. This place may be beautiful but its very very dangerous!
