Sharing this: For those in the UK following the progress of the Pup Aid parliamentary petition that earlier in the year gained 111,000 signatures, the House of Commons has set the date for the debate - 4th September. Its really most important now that those amongst us who wish to see an end to puppy farming and bad commercial breeding get behind this and lobby our own MPs to engage with the issue and attend the debate. This is the only way that tougher legislation will be brought in that will make it illegal to sell puppies in pet shops and through 3rd party sellers - this will dry up a major outlet for the puppy farmers aka factory producers of puppies. Please dont leave this to others and think it will happen just because we signed the petition, that was just the first step in what is a tough process that needs the support of all who really care about dog welfare.
