Sharrows on PV East at Crownview!!! (Palos Verdes in Southern California for those of you not familiar) This is nice to see since it seems from at least 1991 when I started to frequent the hill, I felt an aura of conflict with either police and or motorists, and rightfully so with the way some cyclists treat stop signs and lights. This included me as well (but I have since greatly changed my ways!!). Those that frequent PV have all seen the signs that read Bicycle laws strictly enforced. These signs should really read Bicycles running stop signs strictly enforced. I say this because from what I see coming from the great bicycle driver advocates of this forum, law for bicycles include having a right to the lane.....and as some of us know, and as I have been ticketed (but won!), law enforcement doesnt see it that way...enough of that. Education is working and thumbs up for Sharrows in an area that has been contentious (and still is) with respect to cyclists. But this is a good step. Also there is nice new asphalt in some sections (HEAR THAT Angeles Crest Highway???). And more new asphalt on the way.
