She: I love those yellow flowers. Me: I love life. Trivial - TopicsExpress

She: I love those yellow flowers. Me: I love life. Trivial convo, it might seem; but it is not so... The former statement implies that one part of life is loved... And that part is loved to compensate for the other parts that one hates... One simply cannot love the parts and parcels of life; either one loves the whole of life or not at all... This is an existential problem with nearly everyone... Since hate-energy is too much to take, we fool ourselves by also generating love-energy for a bit of life... But, this is fractured living... It is like loving one part of a Van Gogh painting - if one does that, and most people do just that, then one can never merge into all the shades of life... And without that latter merger no significance is possible... One will remain partial and insignificant in ones essence... One has chosen wrongly... Choice itself is wrong... Choice is a for/against arrangement... That is lifelessness, not life... Life itself never chooses... And if we choose not to choose, only then would we be making the right choice, and do justice to our essence which is life itself... Think about it... Have a wonderful Wednesday... :))
