THE ONE I used to think that love meant finding just one person, The One, and loving them more than anyone or anything else in the world. Anything less than The One would pale in comparison. I realised - through years of heartbreak and awakening from dreams - that love is bigger than that: it means loving the world entire, loving it all as The One, allowing that boundless presence to shine through all of our relationships, big and small, allowing that soft light to seep through all of our ordinary encounters. It is the kindest and most honest thing to say to someone, I love you, I care deeply about you, but I dont need you.
