This girl is one of those singers, and if you haven’t heard her yet, you’re about to be blown away. Jessie J is a singer/songwriter from the UK who has had several radio hits. But before she was a big name, she headed down into the NYC subway station in 2011 as part of the “Boombox Series” of performances to show off her vocal prowess for the tough city crowds. Moments into her song, people started to gather around her, in awe of her talent. By the end, she had won them all over, and they were taking her picture, asking her questions and cheering in applause.
